Dirty South Citrus - Vintage Citrus Label - Original Artwork
Heather grew up in Clewiston, a small town on Lake Okeechobee's south coast. She and her friends referred to this area as the "Dirty South," so this piece is particularly important to her.
"Dirty South" captures the tranquil beauty of a sunset over Lake Okeechobee, where the warm hues of the clouds drift over a dock on the lake. Vibrant citrus fruits—tangerines, oranges, and grapefruits—are the focal point. Their bold, saturated colors contrast with the softer palette of the sky and water. The painting exudes the vintage charm and serenity of the South.
Vintage Florida citrus labels inspired this collection. Heather put her unique twist on these labels, creating fun and interesting fictitious names. Each label was hand-painted on a custom cabinet door; some were taken from an old Florida home built in 1954! Each piece is one of a kind!
This piece of artwork measures 23.5 inches wide by 21.5 inches tall.
